What Does it Takes to be an ICT Student

One of the main problems facing teachers in these subject areas, is the gap between what pupils know and do at home, compared with what they know and do at school.
Many pupils go home to better computing facilities that they have at school, both in terms of hardware and software, and have much fewer restrictions in what they can and cannot access at home compared with school. Your average teenager at home will multi task on Facebook, MSN, online games and whatever internet pages interest them at that time. This is not something they do at school. At school, they are more likely to be entering data into a spreadsheet that may or may not have been set up for them, and printing out what they have done to show this as evidence of coursework for the qualification they are on.
We need to think about merging what they need to know with what is also fun to know. We need to make sure they are aware of how complicated it can get without making them write reams of code to do so.

My Dream My Future

Everyone has a dream. A dream that serves as an inspiration. Poverty is not the reason to give up. Instead, use it as strength to fulfill  all your dreams in life. What is your dream? How can it change your life?

Like the others, who are believing. I am one of them. When I was young and until now. My dream in life doesn't change. I want to be a successful police woman in our country. And help anyone that are in need. This is also the way to help my parents for all the things they have done for me. I want to build a house for us and reconstruct our family house.

Simple dream but it makes me happy when I am thinking that this will happen in the future.

Change: It Starts With Me

Changes starts with me. How will you manage yourself in your daily lives. In a simple way of  being responsible, you can say that you also be the model of others. Even in your house, you can show how responsible you are. Example if you work without any commands of your parents. Like if you help in cleaning your backyard. Watering the plants. Helps in preparing the food. Washing the dishes and others. By doing simple things you show how responsible you are.
In every struggle in our life, we ought to be strong. Don't show your weaknesses to others.Or rather you show to them how strong you are in facing any prombems.

Kannawidan: The Ylocos Festival

Ilocos Sur has a rich heritage and unique culture that are to be preserved for the next generations because it is observed that many of these traditions, songs, dances and other Ilocano culture are not familiar to the younger generations already. Children of today are paying more attention to the modern and novelty dances they seen on the television than the traditional ones. There is also a need to evaluate the different products of the different municipalities and the agricultural products and livestock of the farmers and fisher folks. Because of this, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur conceived a festival that will highlight these culture and traditions and attract local and foreign tourists as well. They call it the KANNAWIDAN Ylocos Festival, it is also a time to commemorate the anniversary of Ilocos Sur as a province since it was separated on February 3, 1818.

New Year, New Me

Many people say that "New Year New Life". There were many things that should be change, especially in our characters.
"New Year, New Me", this is the sentence that comes to my mind a months ago. If what should I change to myself. There were some boys and girls who are angry to me but not to much. Because of my bad attitude. Sometimes I shout them. May be this is one of the reason why they hate me. But I totally remove that kind of attitude. I want to be friendly to all. And I thanks God that the one who hates me so much is now my friend.
This is now the new me. New life of mine and new problems that I may also suffer. And I hope that God will always be there for me.

Keeping in Mind our Mother Tongue

When we were still young, we have experience it. All of us have say the first word when we were a baby or a one year old baby. Try to ask your parents , if what is the first word you have said when you were still young? How you say it for the first time? What is mother tongue?
Mother tongue is a language. Whether it is Ilocano, Tagalog, or English. Everyone of us have a mouth to speak. You or we are the one who manipulate our own body. And most especially to our mouth, because what ever you say even it is bad or good their will always be hurted. So be careful what you say. God gave us mouth and most especially language so that we can easily communicate with others.
Use your tongue wisely. Think before you say. Because what ever you say it reflects your personality us human. And what family you belong.

Equal Rights, Equal Oppurtunities

In many parts of the world, women continue to face some of the worst forms of sexual-based gender violence including Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Early Forced Marriages, Rapes and other forms of Sexual Abuse such as Incest, Physical Domestic Violence (Wife Battering) and Forced prostitution through Human Trafficking of women among other violations.
We all have a role to play. Let us raise our voices against these injustices against women. We must speak out and also be the voice of those with no platform to raise their voices and if possible help create for them a platform. We must be heard.
Let us continue to advocate for the elimination of any form of abuse, discrimination and violation of women’s rights. Let us keep up the fight to ensure that the women in a village in Kathmandu, Nepal, Nairobi, Kisumu, Soweto is free from any form of violence. Let us work towards equal Rights and Equal Opportunities for all.
